Joy
I asked my grandma what he favorite flower was and she said she really liked purple flowers, especially roses. So I told her I would paint one for her. It took a while to paint, but by the time I finally finished it she started falling ill and so I could never find the proper time to show it to her.
She never got to see it, but thats ok. I made her immortal.
In loving memory of Grandma Joy.

This one is called, Lotus.
It was a request from a friend.
I started to really get into painting flowers so I asked a friend what her favorite flower was so I could find some inspiration for a new painting. She said she really liked lotus flowers and asked if I could paint one for her. I really like the way this one turned out!

I based this painting on a Fuchsia flower.
This painting is called Fuchsia of corse!
After my senior year started, and I finally found time to paint again, I decided to do another painting like the violet I did. This time I wanted to do something really exotic! So after doing some research on exotic flowers, I came across this beautiful flower, the Fuchsia.

During my summer vacation in 2015, before my senior year, I had a goal to finish at least 5 paintings!
Now that I had finally found a style that worked for me I felt like I could do anything, and this was one of the first of a new series of paintings that I was really looking forward to making that summer!
This one is called Sweet Memory.
These where both the final paintings I made during my last summer vacation before senior year. I had ran out of the large canvases that I had been using but then I remember that I had these two smaller canvases that where given to me by someone who didn't wan't them. So I figured I would do something with them and use them to help me accomplish my goal of finishing 5 paintings before the end of my summer vacation. It was, after all, the last summer vacation I would have as a high school student... (hopefully anyway...)

Over my summer vacation that year I thought it would be fun if I did something tropical themed. This one makes me feel like I'm on a tropical island with bananas and palm trees and stuff.

This one is called Violet and it was the third of the paintings that I made during that beautiful and blossoming summer.
I thought the last painting had gone so well that I decided to try and take it one steep further by trying to paint something a little more realistic like a flower while at the same time sticking to the same abstract style I had been doing.

This one is called Aqua, and it was a gift to my grandmother to help brighten up her room at the nursing home. It is very special among my family now.
This painting is particularly special to me because it also opened up the door to a whole new world that had previously been locked.
