Serendipity
This painting is called Serendipity.
This painting is based on a bird's wing and I am very happy with how it turned out!
I like to try something different with each new painting I start. So for this painting I decided to use the color blue again and instead of using more spiraling forms I decided to try something different. I've been using a lot of spiraling and curved forms lately so I thought it would be interesting to see if I could do something differently by using a birds wing as inspiration for this painting.
I really like the way that this painting turned out and I love the colors that appear in this painting. It definitely has a very happy and positive atmosphere to it. This painting was actually made as a gift for a someone. I had a few different ideas for the paintings name but I was having a hard time trying to choose the right one so I decided to let a good friend of mine name it. I have never let anyone name one name one of my paintings before. I made an acceptation this time though because they are a close friend of mine so I told them that they could pick any name that they wanted. They really liked the painting and felt that the painting had a lot of meaning so they decided to pick a name that was just as meaningful. They needed some time to think of the perfect name though so I decided to delay posting this painting so that they would have plenty of time to think of the perfect name. Now, after nearly one week after It's completion, this painting is now ready to be shared with the world.
It's name is Serendipity. It means finding something good without looking for it like an unexpected surprise. It's like a wonderful feeling when you find something good without looking for it and It's like a surprise that can change your day. They said that the name could also connected to the wings, "flying everywhere without a destination and then finding something good."
